What it does

Fruit salad scales by cup per guest. Melons bulk the bowl while berries color it.

The tool above multiplies the crowd out. Twelve guests at 0.75 cups make 9 cups with 1.5 melons and 1.3 pints of berries. The metric match is 2129 ml.

Melons give six cups each. Cantaloupe and honeydew cubes anchor volume cheaply.

Berries run thirty percent of the bowl at two cups per pint. Citrus juice over the top keeps everything bright.

Cold serves best. Chill covered and toss gently before setting out.

How to use

  1. Pick imperial (cups) or metric (ml).
  2. Enter guests.
  3. Enter cups each: 0.75 suits brunch.
  4. Read total first.
  5. Read melons next.
  6. Read berry pints and chill covered.

Formula

Total cups = guests x each. Melons = total / 6. Berry pints = total x 0.3 / 2.
