Oatmeal Calculator
Oatmeal oats, water, and bowls for any serving count.
What it does
Oatmeal scales by bowl and belly. Light weekday bowls differ half from hearty weekend ones, and water always doubles the oats.
The tool above multiplies servings by appetite. Four standard servings need 3 cups of dry oats with 6 cups of water for 4 bowls. The metric match is 270 g with 1420 ml.
Appetite cups set the serving. Light half cups suit kids and small breakfasts, standard three quarter cups suit most adults, and full cups suit hungry mornings.
Water doubles oats for rolled flakes. Steel cut breaks the rule with longer cooks and more liquid, so check that package separately.
Toppings finish after cooking. Milk, fruit, nuts, and honey never enter the water ratio, which keeps porridge texture steady.
